Hennything Is Possible Cont.

SUNRISE

[20:12:2021:07:27:01:24]

In dream slumber I hear the words from outside my room “The nature of my work is Ethics”

I had gone to bed with my writing on my mind, wondering how to funnel the myriad aspects of my thought process into intelligible form, how to focus and define the nature of my art – the narrative that I have been both living and writing. “What is the point?” – a pink posit note yells out to me – an image from the wall-scape of my mind-office.

Ethics… I hadn’t thought about it in this container, but it seems fitting… an important pillar in the least.

I recognized the voices outside my room to be a roommate and household friend – quite boisterous, and a bit too jovial to have had gone to sleep the night before, and to then be up at dawn in such spirits. Haha. Spirits.

Well guess it’s time get up and make myself a coffee. Seems like a good time to ask my roommate for some assistance installing a properly functioning doorknob. Doorknobs – turns out, are multi useful, and when fully operational, serve well in keeping the heat inside of a room. No more wedging the door shut with swaths of fabrics and Mardi Gras beads! Look she’s adulting!

SETTING:

Entrance of V’s bedroom. K, I and V chatting, K installs a new doorknob.

V: The first thing I woke up to, was you saying “The nature of my work is ethics” – I thought it was kinda funny, cause I fell asleep thinking about that.. ya know, in regard to my own artistic creation.

I: I don’t remember saying that, but hey if it works for you! Haha… Yeah, maybe I would have said the nature of my art is ethics… or something – I really don’t remember what I was saying, anything is possible!…….. Hey!-Look we have a real carpenter over here, check this guy out!

K: Yeah I’ve got some skills, ya know… just over here doing my thing.

I: What were you dreaming about?- Haha I’ve been having some wild dreams lately! I had one the other day that I spent an hour writing all the details out after I woke up. I remember the whole thing, crazy plot twists and layers and shit!

K: Man, you should write a screen play about it.

I: Ohh yeah I was thinking that, but it’s suuuuper overwhelming… I don’t even know where I would start. The big thing would be character development I guess, and dialogue, since I pretty much have the whole plot line drafted out…

I am always extremely interested when someone feels compelled to tell me about a dream. A friend of mine, and professor of Jewish Mysticism once told me “If someone tells you a dream it is meant for you.”

I find this to be quite accurate, as the dreams that have been told to me always seem to coincide with the current of my life and my own process of understanding; And the images they have etched in my mind are equal to, if not greater in vibrancy of metaphor, than many of my own visions in the dream-time realms.

Naturally, I found myself quite intrigued to hear about this epic dream of his.
