While transcribing the letter, I received a text from a roommate of mine:
“I just did two rapid covid tests, both came back positive. If we have been in close contact, I suggest you get tested” …
It was Monday the 20th, three mornings ago, that we were chatting about dreams – he and a friend and I, while he replaced the doorknob on my bedroom door. I’ve been meaning to write about that conversation, it’s been pretty intensely on my mind since that morning.
