The Dream Pot

“Remember – If you wanna BE FRESH, you gotta RE-FRESH and CELEBRATE… Come on down to Subway and take a bite out of fresh!” (tv blaring from the other room) ****Ohhh Subway****swooooon****

Haha good lord and butter it’s true tho! The whole point of this story is to turn it into a party, and it freakin’ sucks when I forget that. Yaaa I’ve been running from alkaline dust, cobwebs, strange metallic bugs, gunshots, garbage, sirens and 3am street fights outside my paper walls… and wondering about the signal calls that have been dropped. Noise pollution, psyche pollution, jump scares, mini electrical explosions… it’s no wonder I don’t get much sleep these days.

There’s been lot of talk of grounding lately *CURRENT THEME #1* … good pointers for the warrior toolkit.

When I arrived back I was floating above my body it seemed… Day-before yesterday, Tomorrow gave me some clever advice about how to stay tethered when gravity is being defiant, “Sometimes when I am feeling ungrounded/uprooted, I imagine a weight on top of my head.” She handed me an anchor steam beer [ANCHOR]

“Or you could lay down and place heavy books on your chest, or a heavy chain link swatch like they have at the hardware store. I find that a square foot of heavy chain link is a perfect size.”

I woke up yesterday feeling pretty floaty, and instinctually tied wrap-weights around my ankles. I was surprised by how much it helped.

🎵”Upside down boy you turn me inside out and round and round🎵 Tune floats in.

Feeling today a bit more grounded, now it’s time to release it on to the page… into music. I sat in the sun this morning, my head spinning with all the flashes of conversations, clips, and clues from this past week, wondering where to even start…

The DREAM POT! Haha yes, this is the analogy to be inserted [here] ———————

J: “Look Vv! I figured it out!!!” 5 year old Jake said with his arms around an oversized glass refreshment dispenser that his mother had just used for a cocktail party.

V: “Figured what out Jake?”

J: “The Dream pot! Look! Vv, so at night when we dream, all the dreams go into the Dream pot. Night after night, the dream pot fills up – we have to turn the spigot to release the dreams! If we don’t release the dreams, the Dream pot gets clogged up and the dreams turn into nightmares!”

This makes me think of the 7th seal… came up in conversation the other night so I googled it. *hello goog’s* Recalling something about the metaphor [chess with the devil] being an expression of his own deepest fears (Ingmar Bergman)… catharsis through art, relatability of cultural fears through art in times of unrest…
wiki says –

The Ingmar Bergman film, The Seventh Seal is a 1957 Swedish historical fantasy film Set in Sweden during the Black Death. It tells of the journey of a medieval knight (Max von Sydow) and a game of chess he plays with the personification of Death (Bengt Ekerot), who has come to take his life. Bergman developed the film from his own play Wood Painting. The title refers to a passage from the Book of Revelation, used both at the very start of the film, and again towards the end, beginning with the words “And when the Lamb had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour”. Here, the motif of silence refers to the “silence of God”, which is a major theme of the film.

Walking down the street the other day, I found a Christmas tree outlined in chalk on the ground like a crime scene *uneasy haha*… on another walk scrawled in chalk “Please save us! Save us from your ex-boyfriend!”… down another street – a magazine lying open to a sepia stained ad for a collectible Pearl Harbor memorial coin. Mildly unsettling, or could be taken that way.

Now, on one hand I see that these could be tricks of the game, much like Hennessy described (*** to return to that mini trilogy up soon) – jump scares based off algorithms of the mind’s nightmares… on the other hand I wonder also if they are legitimate warnings.

“The deadline on this house is almost up, so we gotta keep moving!” (Tv hollers from the other room)
